The woman came to the attention of officers attached to the Central West Police District when they spotted an unregistered Holden Commodore being driven along Glenroi Avenue about 1.40am on Sunday.
Officers followed the car before it stopped at a service station on the Bathurst Road.
Police will allege in court that a two-year-old boy was found unrestrained in the rear passenger seat and there was no child seat fitted.
The driver, a 23-year-old woman on a provisional licence, underwent a roadside breath test which returned a positive result.
She was arrested and taken to Orange police station where she underwent a breath analysis, allegedly returning a reading of 0.112.
The woman has been charged with mid-range PCA; driver stating false name or home address; using unregistered motor vehicle; and driving with child not restrained.
She was granted conditional bail and is due to appear at Orange Local Court on Tuesday, May 15.
The woman’s licence was suspended and police have reported the matter to FACS.
