The Gold Coast Commonwealth Games men’s T54 gold medallist is a two-time winner of the London event, which this year offers a record US$25,000 to the winner.
Though Carcoar native is in good form and holds the London track record, he will face much stiffer opposition on English soil than he did on the streets of the Gold Coast last Sunday.
The increased prize money has attracted one of the biggest fields in the history of the London event and amongst those who will line up alongside Fearnley are some very talented rivals.
Defending champion David Weir will be hunting for his eighth London title while Swiss ace Marcel Hug – the man who won the inaugural edition of the World Marathon Majors Wheelchair Series last year – will also be a huge threat to Fearnley.
The marathon gets underway 5.55pm (AEST) on Sunday.
