BRAG is excited to offer four holiday workshops next week in the gallery, with inspiration taken from the current artworks on display as well as the upcoming Waste 2 Art community art exhibition.
Get last minute entries into the Waste 2 Art competition with our workshop Altered Packaging. In this workshop Fiona will guide you with the tools, materials and the processes to create exciting, powerful artworks from materials that would otherwise be discarded and suitable for entry into the Waste 2 Art Competition. This workshop is open to people aged 15 years and older and will be held 10:30am to 12:30pm, April 24.
In Surface workshop on Tuesday, April 24 from 1.30pm to 3.30pm, Fiona will guide participants in experimenting with gold and silver metallic paint inspired by David Serisier’s paintings. Open to kids aged 8 to 17 years. They will be able to take home a treasured keepsake.
On Thursday, April 26 from 1.30pm to 3.30pm be inspired by and create artworks in response to Cathe Stack’s sculptures of ceramics and woodwork in the workshop Things of Clay and Wood. This workshop is for kids aged between 7 and 17 years.
Our last workshop on Friday, April 27 from 10.30am to 12.30pm run by Isobel called Materiality encourages participants to consider the tactile medium of textiles and use Mark Dober’s paintings of the interior of Haefliger’s Cottage for inspiration. This workshop is for kids aged 7 to 17 years. All workshops are $10 per child. Bookings are essential as workshops do become popular quickly.
