Letter | You’ve got mail – almost two weeks later

AUSTRALIA Post gave real meaning to the phrase “snail mail” when a friend mailed a letter from West Bathurst post-marked March 6 and it arrived in South Bathurst, a little under four kilometres in distance as the crow flies, nearly a fortnight later on March 19.

Yet on the other hand, during that same time period, we sent a parcel lunchtime one day, and it arrived in Mudgee the next morning. Inconsistency at its best.
