Over 500 competitors, along with their families, support teams and fans, converged on the Bathurst Bike Park on Sunday.
Bathurst BMX Club president Michael Breen said the competition was great.
“The weather was fine and the track was fast; everyone was happy,” he said.
Mr Breen said the state titles brought with them a significant economic boost for the city.
“It’s been very good for Bathurst,” he said, adding many hotels were booked out.
“I think the point has to be made in acknowledging the foresight Bathurst Regional Council has in building the new St Pat’s ground, Carrington Park, the BMX track - they’ve put money into building the facilities and it brings people to town.
“We’re the only track in NSW with an eight metre hill.
“The level of commitment shown by Bathurst Regional Council gets the big events.”
Hayley Wolfenden from Bathurst BMX Club, who also competed in the titles, said the track was one of the drawcards for the riders who travelled to be part of the event.
“We’ve held Oceania events and national series events. The facilities are definitely a factor why people come here,” she said.
