The community welcome was an event organised by member for Bathurst Paul Toole, as a chance for community representatives to come along and meet the Deputy Premier in an informal atmosphere.
Mr Toole said it was a nice way to be able to say thank you to all the organisations across his electorate for the work they do as quiet achieving volunteers.
“We are so fortunate to have so many good people who give freely of their time for the betterment of the region, whether that be involved with sport, health, education, environment or community service,” he said.
“I know Mr Barilaro really appreciated the warm welcome he received and the hospitality provided by Peter Sargent and his team at the RSL was just first class.”
