DANIEL Sutton has been named the western region’s outstanding young employee during the Western NSW Business Awards at Rydges Mount Panorama last Friday.

Mr Sutton is a partner at Bathurst-based Morse Group Accountants and Advisors, leading a team of five people that services clients across a wide geographic footprint.

He has exceeded his new income target by 140 per cent and has increased his billings and share of the income for the Morse Group year on year.

Mr Sutton has also developed internal training programs for staff that are now used for new employee inductions.

“Winning this award recognises all of the hard work I’ve put in with my colleagues and peers,” he said.

“It provides a point of difference between myself and others in the industry and provides me with confidence in my future ambitions.”

Meanwhile, 123 Tix from Dubbo was named the 2018 business of the year.

123 Tix provides turn-key ticketing solutions to the national and international event industry and also won the excellence in small business award.

The Dubbo-based business exceeded the annual estimated growth of the industry and implemented sound financial practices, cutting-edge technology and exceptional customer service, which has helped it to claim triple-bottom line sustainability

“Winning both awards is overwhelming,” 123 Tix director Terry Wilcher said.
