BooksPlus Bathurst has sold more Tulloch books than any other bookshop in Australia with 45, quite an achievement for a local, independent bookshop.
Tulloch was a legendary thoroughbred racehorse, who is regarded as one of finest racehorses in Australian racing history and was owned by a Bathurst family and retired near Bathurst.
Linnett’s book also won the 2018 Bill Whittaker Book Award earlier this month.
The award, commemorating the highly respected former racing writer Bill Whittaker, is presented every two years for the best book on horse racing published in Australia and New Zealand in that period.

It looks like the clouds have been playing games with Bathurst on Monday and Tuesday, with heavy clouds hanging over the city but no serious rain coming.
Just 5.8 millimetres of rain has fell in Bathurst this month and 45.6 in April, with 33.6 of the 45.6 millimetres falling in one day.
With the lack of rain, it’s been a frustrating year so far for Bathurst farmers and it doesn’t look like it’s going to get any better with no rain forecast in the city for the next week.
Hopefully Creedence Clearwater Revival’s lyrics come to fold – “It’ll rain a sunny day”.
Unusual Group 10 occurrence
Bathurst Panthers and St Pat’s rivals Orange Hawks are currently leading this season’s Group 10 premier league.
It’s no surprise, considering the quality of the squad, but it’s been some time since they’ve topped the competition.
However, it’s their point differential that has caught the eye.
Normally if a team is topping the ladder they would have a strong, positive point differential.
However, Hawks are in the negative with -2 points differential, a rare sight for a ladder leader.
