An updated forecast from www.weatherzone.com.au has brought good news for those hoping to see some snow in town.
Snow is expected fall down to about 600 metres above sea level in parts of NSW, with high country on the outskirts of Bathurst certain to get a decent coating while flakes in the CBD remain an outside chance.
According to weatherzone's Ben Domensino, the coldest air will arrive on Saturday and Sunday, when snow will settle in many parts of the Central West.
Some places in NSW are forecast to experience their lowest maximum temperature in two or more years this weekend, including Sydney (14 degrees Celcius), Canberra (7 degrees), Bathurst (6 degrees) and Goulburn (6 degrees).
