Students have been working hard since the start of the year in preparation for the show, which is based on the 1971 musical inspired by the Gospel of Matthew.
All Saints’ drama teacher and show director Leigh Morrisey said it’ll be great to see the students’ hard work pay off when they take to the stage.
“The kids have been practising every night for the past week,” he said.
“Kids have been painting the set themselves with a little help with the design building.
“They’ve worked on the choreography themselves and everyone involved – not just the cast, but the band and sound crew – have been working extremely hard.”
There are 11 principal cast members, with Paxton Hewitt and Lachlan Phillips starring as the lead roles of Jesus and Judas respectively.
Godspell will be on show at the Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre on Thursday (7.30pm), Friday (11am and 7.30pm) and Saturday (7.30pm).
Tickets are available through the BMEC website at www.bmec.com.au.
Money raised will go towards paying for venue hire and the cost of production.
