That’s what St Pat’s want to improve, as they head into a crucial home game against Zig Zag in the women’s Premier League Hockey on Saturday.
St Pat’s are currently in third, two points off CYMS and Bathurst, who are in first and second respectively.
But St Pat’s youngster Sophie Conroy is hoping for a full 70 minute performance when her side takes to the green.
“The main thing is our consistency because we’ve been fairly inconsistent,” she said.
“One day we’ll turn up to play and the next we won't play the full 70 minutes, which has cost us games.
“At the moment, I think [coach] Jaden [Ekert] wants us to work on consistency.”
While St Pat’s are the home team, Conroy said there’s no advantage if the team doesn’t come with the right mindset.
“We know the turf and we won’t have to travel, so there might be a slight advantage there,” she said.
“But if we don’t turn up ready to play, there’s no advantage.”
While she said she’s trying to do her best while juggling her Higher School Certificate commitments and training, Conroy said she’s been on the down-low.
“I’ve tried to be as consistent as I can,” she said.
“I think someone like Sarah Watterson, in the forwards, will have a good game. She’s been our players’ player for three weeks in row. She’s on a role.
“Ruby Clarke also had a great performance last game, so she might do that again.
“Kristy Ekert is always consistent in the backs.”
The game against Zig Zag on Saturday will be different to what Conroy remembers, from when she first started playing Premier League Hockey.
“I remember when I first started playing Premier League, we were beating them like 11-0,” she said.
“They’ve come back from where they’ve use to be and they’ve improved in the past couple of years.”
“They won’t be easy and it’ll be a hard game if we don’t get our act together. We have to go there and be ready to play.”
Match starts from 1.50pm.
