The fires occurred in four separate homes in Orange on Monday, three started in kitchens and an empty home was left extensively damaged.
Fire and Rescue NSW Superintendent Brett Jackson has urged residents to be careful in their homes, especially with their heating at this time of year.
“Over the past week we have had many fires in people’s homes across Bathurst and Orange which has resulted in significant damage to some of these residences,” he said.
“This has also unfortunately resulted in injuries to some of the occupants including burns and smoke inhalation.
“With nearly 4500 fires in homes each year just in NSW it is important that residents take care to prevent them occurring.”
