Towri MACS Centre celebrated NAIDOC Week on Friday with bush tucker tasting, a smoking ceremony, dance, music and art activities, as well as the opening of a new playground.

As well, four women – Shona Kennedy, Kylie Johnston, Amanda Toomey and Selina Brandy – were honoured for their work at Towri MACS.
Bunnings Warehouse Bathurst were also present on the day, to help create the Wiradjuri Water Tank will children.
Centre director Courtney Glazebrook said the new playground comprises of a deck, creek bed and a Yarning circle.
“The cost to build the new playground was mainly funded by Towri,” she said.
“Speed Landscaping has also helped out extensively to build it.”
