The community is invited to an afternoon of choral singing by choirs from across the region, starting at 2pm.
“Choirs have recently experienced a renaissance as people come to realise how enjoyable participating in a group singing experience can be and the social and health benefits of group singing,” Arts OutWest executive officer Tracey Callinan said.
“The Central West Choral Festival celebrates choirs and provides people with an opportunity to learn new skills, join in with fellow music lovers and perform for family, friends and the community.
“It is also a wonderful cultural tourism initiative as visitors come from outside the area to enjoy the music and visit the region.”
This festival is the first Central West Choral Festival and boasts nine choirs from Bathurst and Orange. The music performed includes classical, popular, world music and much more.
The event is free with an optional gold coin donation. The festival has been organised and funded by Arts OutWest.
