A wreath laying ceremony will be held at the Carillon in Kings Parade at 11am.
The annual ceremony, organised by the Vietnam Veterans Association Bathurst Sub Branch, is usually attended by veterans, servicemen and families.
“It is a day that we remember the Vietnam veterans; we remember our mates that didn’t come back and we remember the ones that didn’t come back doing so well,” president John Murphy said.

The sub branch will also hold a parade and service on Sunday in the Vietnam Veterans Park.
Member for Bathurst Paul Toole will be the guest speaker at the request of the sub branch.
“Paul has been very good to us. The state government has given us a few grants … so this year we’d like to have Paul as the guest speaker,” Mr Murphy said.
People are asked to arrive at 10.30am for an 11am start.
Following the service, a lunch will be held at Bathurst RSL Club.
