Lifeline Central West Mental Health first-aid course will be held on August 18 and 25 at the Bathurst RSL from 9am-4pm.
True crime writer and award-winning journalist James Phelps tells the story of how a gang of bushrangers pulled off the largest gold robbery in Australia's history at Eugowra Rocks in 1862 in his new book, Australian Heist. He will launch the book at 6pm for 6.30pm in the Piper Function Room at the Oxford Hotel. Tickets are $15 (includes light refreshments). NAIDOC celebration will be held from 5.30pm-8.30pm on August 31 at Mount Panorama (near the playground at the top). This will be a free event and will include Aboriginal dancers, a jumping castle, food, stall-holders, music, fairy floss, face-painting and a traditional smoking ceremony.
