In 2016 as under 14s they fell 22-6 to the green and golds, while last year it was the Saints who tasted premiership glory with a 28-22 win over CYMS.
This Saturday when the under 16s decider is played out at Cowra’s Sid Kallas Oval it will be the same group of Saints taking on a familiar bunch of CYMS.
But this time things are a little different – it is the last chance for most of them to win a junior premiership.
“Next year in under 18s they will be playing with guys who already played there this year, they are young men and some might not play again, they might be in two, three or four different clubs,” Pat’s coach Chris O’Neil said.
“Anything can happen next year, so I’ve been reminding them at every training session from about seven or eight weeks out that this is something we are working towards.”
