Bathurst West was one of a number of schools to hold Hay Week to support our local farmers.
Students tossed coins into a water trough and made a wish for our farmers while non-perishable food donations were collected on a bale of hay in the school office.
At the end of the week, all of the students and staff gathered on the oval and performed a rain dance to join their friends in Coonamble.
And half way through the dance it rained.
The donations will go to the Thumbs Up for Farmers campaign run by Bathurst Broadcasters to support local farmers.
