While the Bathurst seamer is a regular in the Blue’s line up and was named NSW's most valuable player for the 2017-18 Sheffield Shield season, he is currently playing club cricket for St George.
He skippers the Saints when not on state duty and on Saturday led by example as he snared 5-50 against Hawkesbury at Owen Earle Oval.
His victims from the 19 overs he bowled on the opening day of their two-day match included both Hawkesbury’s openers and its first drop. It helped have them all out for 266.
It was the 13th time in his first grade career for the Saints that he had taken five or more wickets in an innings and first time he done so since the 2012-13 grand final.
