The countdown to the 2018 Bathurst 1000 is well truly on, but Race Week excitement will not all be up at Mount Panorama.

While the drivers take to the world-famous circuit on Thursday, William Street and Kings Parade will be packed on Wednesday, for the official start of Race Week at the Supercars Transporters and Driver Parade.
The parade is expected to start at 11.30am, giving fans a chance to line up to William Street to catch a glimpse of the drivers roll into town.
And once the drivers have been paraded through the street, the fans will have a chance to get even closer to their Supercars legends at the driver signing.
There will be two driving sessions, one starting at 12.15pm and the other at 1.15pm, giving fans a chance to get hats, supporter gear and banners signed.
The driver signing will also include the unveiling of the 2017 Bathurst 1000 winners plaque.
There’ll be plenty of activities for children as well, with a jumping castle, face painting, the B-Rock barbecue and more on offer.
On Thursday, Rydges Mount Panorama will host the Legendary Moments Dinner, giving fans a chance to listen to legends of the Great Race, while enjoying a two course meal at the top of Rydges, with a spectacular view of Mount Panorama in the background.
On Saturday, when drivers will battle it out for pole position, Kings Parade will host a street fair from 10am to 4pm.
Wander through the food and market stalls and enjoy great entertainment by local artists and there’ll be plenty of activities for the kids.
The new LEGO Play Zone will allow fans to stretch their imagination and compete in challenges.
