A 13-year-old girl critically injured in a crash at Wattle Flat has died in hospital.

Police confirmed the teenager, who had been on life support at the Westmead Children’s Hospital since the crash on October 12, died on Tuesday. Her name has not been released.
The 13-year-old girl was one of four people travelling in a Holden Commodore which hit a tree two kilometres south of the small township.
Police, paramedics, SES and other emergency services rushed to the scene after receiving a Triple-0 call just after 10.40am after the driver, an 18-year-old woman, lost control of the car on an unsealed piece of road.
When paramedics arrived at the scene they found three of people - the driver and two other girls, aged 15 and 16 – suffering superficial injuries including suspected abdominal injuries.
However, the 13-year-old girl was critically ill when emergency services arrived.
The teenager, who had been sitting in the rear passenger seat of the Holden Commodore, bore the brunt of the collision. She was unconscious and suffering a large laceration to the head.
NSW Ambulance sent three crews to the crash and dispatched the Bankstown-based rescue helicopter, which landed at the scene. After paramedics stabilised the teenager she was flown to Westmead Children’s Hospital where she remained until her death on Tuesday.
The other three people in the car were treated at the scene by paramedics. Two of the three were then taken to Bathurst Base Hospital via road ambulance in a stable condition.
The driver underwent mandatory drug and alcohol testing immediately after the crash.
While no charges have been laid in relation to the crash, a spokesperson for NSW Police said the matter continued to be investigated by the metropolitan-based Crash Investigation Unit.
Officers will soon speak again with the driver.
