The Petries Mitre 10 Bathurst Open was held on the weekend with over 200 players taking part in the event, the overall scratch winner was James Conran who posted a 36 hole score of 134 (eight under) to hold off Corey Lamb and Joel Shields by three shots.

B grade went to visitor Michael Hunter with a fine two round total of 160 which was two shots clear of Ben Hamer.
C grade turned into a battle between two of the Club’s up and coming junior superstars as Jake Davis (172) bought home the trophy by two shots over Cooper Starkey.
The nett winner in A grade went to the mega long hitting James Chapple who could not have been prouder after a brilliant two round total of 136 gave him the top gong by a solitary shot over Mike Stanford.
Paul Strik duly saluted in B grade after returning 139 for a one stroke margin over Ben Hamer while C grade is in the hands of Luke Taberner (139) from local Arthur Clancy (140). Full results can be seen on the club’s website.
Thursday A grade
‘Perfect’ conditions suited John Perfect in Thursday’s A grade event after a well compiled 40 points gained him the accolades over Bill Casey (39) and Stuart Brown (38), a return to the winners circle greeted Bruce Hodson who fired 33 points to win the scratch.
Bill Dickie was on fire with 42 points in winning B grade, left in wake were Steve Glencorse and Ben ‘legend’ Stevens who both returned 39 points. Max Culkin snuck the scratch title in with 22 points.
Perfect (76) was ably supported by Paul Rosconi in their quest for the 2BBB aggregate title with a three stroke margin separating them from John Payne and Bob Dillon 59 points was enough for Darrell Bourke and Darryn Bruce to win the scratch.
