A team of 12 students from Precision Martial Arts competed at the International Sport Karate Association CCP Cup on Sunday, October 21, with six first place awards.

Held at the Whitlam Leisure Centre in the south-west Sydney suburb of Liverpool, it was the biggest tournament of the year with over 600 entries and 80 clubs participating.
At the end of the tournament, Precision Martial Arts finished in eighth place.
Hannah Gibbons came first in point sparring, Kiara Blattman picked up a first in self-defence, Tim Burke came first in both sumo and point sparring, Elias Burke was first first in his sword combat and Adam Coello picked up a first in self-defence.
Elsewhere, other placings included Reubin Delaney second’s in self-defence, Naz O’Connor’s second in sword combat and Tegan Gibbsons’ second place in point sparring and third place in sword combat.
As well, Beau Blattman claimed a second place in self-defence, Damien Blattman snagged third in kata and third in place weapons, while Sarah Duffey come just short in five different disciples – second place in point, sumo and kata and third in weapons and sword.
First place winners Kiara Blattman also picked up a second in weapons and kata, with Tim Burke picking up a second in sword combat and Elias Burke collecting a second in kata as well.
The club will compete in one more tournament in 2018 – the ISKA Australian Titles.
The tournament will also be held at the Whitlam Leisure Centre in Liverpool, on Sunday, November 25.
