In the early hours of Monday afternoon, four All Saints’ College students – Ben Parsons, Charlotte Hunt, Lucy Corbett-Jones and Felix McClymont – reflected on their exam.
“It wasn’t that bad but was pretty difficult, which was to be expected,” Ms Hunt said.
“We had to answer multiple choice questions and write short and long responses. Now that it’s over, I’m going to burn all my notes in a bonfire,” Mr McClymont said.
Mr McClymont explained that the subject of Chemistry is about the environment and “unpacking the building blocks of the universe”.
The subject also provides students with the opportunity to develop their knowledge, understanding and skills in relation to properties and structures of matter, as well as a variety of chemical reactions incorporating organic compounds and acid base equilibrium reactions.
The HSC continues this week, with notable exams including Studies of Religion on Tuesday, Economics on Wednesday and Geography on Thursday.
The HSC concludes on Friday with Design and Technology starting at 9.25am, followed by Drama – the final exam – at 12.25pm.
