At around 12.30pm on Monday, January 7, Chifley Police District Highway Patrol Command officers stopped and examined an oversize regulated heavy vehicle.
Officers said the truck was carrying an agricultural implement.
“On inspection the heavy vehicle was not complying with the oversize rules in that it was not displaying sufficient red and yellow flags, flags not affixed to outer extremities of the load and flags barely resembling flags that must be bright and visible,” officers said.
“The driver was issued a penalty notice for ‘drive heavy vehicle contravene condition of exemption’.”
The penalty notice was for $661.
