It is Melbourne Storm’s Cameron Smith.
Though Melbourne Storm has been locked in as the Penrith Panthers’ opponent for their annual Bathurst match for some time, it took Smith until Wednesday this week to confirm he would line up for them in 2019.
The star hooker, who is just 16 games away from playing his 400th NRL match, has signed up with Storm until 2020.
“I still enjoy playing the game, I still love competing on the field and I haven’t been told by any of the coaches that my performance is diminishing. That would be a sure sign of finishing up,” the man who has won four NRL premierships said.
“That's one thing I'm conscious of, doing my job and competing.”
Panthers and Storm will do battle in Bathurst on Saturday, March 30.
