The cot, valued at $26,750, is essential in the assessment and stabilisation of newborn babies, assisting in the safe delivery of oxygen and air when babies need help taking their first breath.
With an integrated examination surface and heater, the cot also prevents babies from cold stress.
Without access to this equipment, a baby’s chance of survival could be significantly reduced.
“Last year marked our 28th Great Humpty Ball and the generosity of our supporters continues to grow each year,” Humpty Dumpty Foundation founder and executive chairman Paul Francis said.
“Each year, incredible corporates and individuals help us to make a difference to hospitals right across the country and this year is no exception.
“Thanks to the goodwill of these guests we will be donating 90 pieces of essential and often life-saving medical equipment to the many hospitals we support right around Australia.
“We really couldn’t do it without them and I thank each of them for their continued support. It really does go a long way to make a difference to the little lives that need it the most.”
