Weatherzone meteorologist Brett Dutschke said that a cool change was on the way, set to arrive on Thursday night.
“It is a pretty dry change and wind will change from a north westerly to a south easterly,” he said.
“It will make days and nights cooler through to the weekend, where it will warm up.”
The cool change will take five to ten degrees off Central West temperatures, seeing the mercury go from 34 degrees on Thursday in Bathurst to a top of 26 degrees on Friday.
Mr Dutschke said the temperatures were expected to stay around the low 30s into mid-February.
Before the low temperatures hit, however, Bathurst needs to get through a couple more days of temperatures in the mid-30s.
