Kessey was stopped by police on October 27 last year after failing to comply with a stop sign near Peel and Hope Street.
Police caught up with him in Rankin Street where he admitted to being a disqualified driver, and police checks confirmed he was disqualified until September 29, 2026.
The police facts sheet said that while they were speaking with Kessey, officers asked him a number of times to refrain from spitting. He became increasingly difficult and started yelling profanities at police.
Kessey was restrained and placed into the rear of a caged police vehicle.
Police also located a small amount of cannabis in the car.
Kessey was convicted and put on a 12-month community corrections order.
