"I was not coming in today," Mrs Scott, who lives at Meadow Flat, told the Advocate. "My two sons, who normally put me on the bus, are away, so I rang and cancelled my bus trip."
One of her fellow members ended up driving out and picking Mrs Scott up so she could be part of the lunch, where she was surprised with flowers to mark her decades of service.

"I have made a lot of friends through volunteer work.
"They are a great lot of ladies."
