The round nine match at Drummoyne Oval saw the Blues needing 166 for victory on the final day, but rivals Victoria bundled them out for 102.
"Not our best day on the park, but we'll bounce back," Copeland tweeted.
The Blues had made a good start to the contest, dismissing the Bushrangers for 106 in the space of 56 overs on day one.
Copeland continued his strong season with the ball as he snared 3-50 off 23 overs, seven of which were maidens.
He also took three catches in the slips cordon.
However, the Blues also had their struggles with the bat as they managed 135 in reply with Copeland out for one.
Victoria's second innings was improved as they notched up 194. Copeland bowled 23 overs, nine of which were maidens, but did not add to his three scalps.
The Blues next match starts Wednesday against Tasmania.
