If this Saturday and Sunday's rematch at the Sportsground provides even half the excitement of last season's 17-run St Pat's win then spectators are going to be in for a great time.
Saints captain Adam Ryan hit 96 runs before Greg Adams' gritty 106 for Bathurst City wasn't quite enough to get his team the 219 runs they needed for victory, in a game that will likely go down as a BDCA classic.
Will we get just as many fireworks this time around?
Connor Slattery is one St Pat's playing hoping to leave a bigger mark on the upcoming match when compared to last season's meeting.
Slattery was part of an early Saints collapse before Ryan and Brendon Cutmore (49) produced a season-saving partnership.
Since that match Pat's have marked themselves as an even bigger force in the competition, entering this weekend's game with a nine-match winning run.
Slattery is hoping to play his part in another finals win for the Saints.
"I'm feeling pretty good. I've found a bit more confidence this year and I hope I can keep that going into finals," he said.
"Redbacks have some great players with Ormey [Ben Orme], [Aditya] Adey, Joey Coughlan and Mark Day. There's a great batting lineup there so it should be a good matchup."
The run for Pat's started with the last game of the one-day season and it hasn't showed signs of stopping.

Their form carried over to the Royal Hotel Cup where the Saints brought down Cavaliers in the recent decider.
Slattery puts that momentum down to valuing his team valuing their wickets - regardless of what format the team has played.
"We had a bad start but our last loss was back against Colts at Scots, where we almost beat them when they lost six for nearly nothing. After that we got really good momentum and we haven't looked back from there," he said.
"The turnaround came with our batting. In the Twenty20s before Christmas we were making 160 in nearly every game.
"Everyone's starting to contribute and we haven't just been relying on a couple of people like we used to."
Both leading wicket takers from last season's preliminary final - Matt Fearnley and Ben Parsons - won't be on hand for the 2019 edition.
However, it's not as if Saints are short staffed in the bowling department.
Nic Broes, Ryan, Slattery and Tanvir Singh all sit inside the top 10 wicket takers list for the season.
The match gets underway from the earlier timeslot of 11am on Saturday.
