Weatherzone data shows up to 40 millimetres of rain could fall across much of the region which will boost already-full gauges in some towns.
Predictions show the most rain will fall in Cowra, Forbes, Grenfell, Mudgee, Orange and Young with each location expected to receive up to 40mm.
While 20mm is expected in Bathurst, Dubbo, Lithgow, Nyngan, Oberon, Parkes and Wellington.
March has already been quite a wet month for some locations in the Central West, with four towns already receiving more than the monthly average.
Mudgee has been the wettest location with 102.0mm received in a month that usually records a long-term average of 55.5.
In Oberon, 69.4mm of rain has been received, the March average is 65.5mm
Wellington has received 61.4mm (average of 50.7mm) and Young has recorded 52.6 (average of 49.5mm).
