The night suffered a slight setback due to lightning, but once things resumed, the crowd got to see three Bathurst-trained Gold Crown heat winners.
They were Mistery Road in heat six, Smooth Baht in heat three and Pat McGarry in heat two.
The Gold Crown final was held on March 29 and was won by Jilliby Nitro and driver Jason Lee. It was a fantastic result, coming after disappointment following a bad barrier draw.
