One week after being dealt a heavy defeat by cross-city rivals Giants the Bushrangers hit back in a big way on Saturday with their 10-5-65 to 1-5-11 win over Parkes Panthers.
A strong squad of Bushrangers players, undeterred by the previous week's tough outing, showed improvement in the first away trip of the year.
Bushrangers kept the hosts completely off the scoreboard until the last quarter of the game, where the result had already been well and truly decided.
"They played really great football and we're really excited about the season to come," Bushrangers coach Brian Matheson said.
"The girls played a completely different level of football compared to that first game and you could see them put in the things that we'd been working on at training."

Matheson said his team can expect more improvement to be made if they continue to apply themselves at training.
"We've only got 10 girls who played last season and I believe we've only got two players from the inaugural ladies season so it's been a big learning curve for a lot of players but they've been very keen on the training paddock," he said.
"Within a couple of weeks they've improved so much and our numbers are looking great. We took 23 players across to Parkes on the weekend.
"The original plan was to train one night a week but the girls have told me they're keen for two nights a week and they're all very excited about where they can get to from the starting point they had."
Sonia Lang led the way for Bushrangers with four goals while Georgia Shiels, who also had a goal to her name, was the Bushrangers' best on ground.
