On Saturday as CSU dispatched Narromine 39-12 at University Oval to make it four bonus-point wins in as many outings, its forwards were outstanding.
A dominant scrum helped to make up for CSU's handling errors, regularly winning against the feed as they drove Narromine back and helped to set up a number of tries.
Given it was the first time this season CSU played a match with contested scrums, it was a good sign for Huggett.
The forwards also made huge metres, constantly slicing through the Gorillas' defence and fending away would be tacklers. Bridie Gordon and captain Rachael Brown were especially impressive.
It was close in the opening quarter at University Oval as the rivals traded tries, Alice Thebridge and Madeline Bretag crossing for the visitors while CSU number 8 Ash Bridge bagged a double, the second of which came as her side won a scrum against the feed inside their attacking 22.

Bridge converted both her tries to see CSU lead 14-12 at the first break. From that point onward the students dominated.
Just 95 seconds into the second quarter CSU had their third try, Brown making a break down the left flank before Molly Kennedy showed good strength as she reached out to ground the ball.
Following yet another scrum win against the feed Riley Smith crossed and after Narromine knocked on with 40 seconds of the half remaining, Gabi Downing scooped it up and ran away to score. That made it 29-12 at the break.
CSU prop Molly Kennedy scored the only try of the third quarter, dragging a number of defenders over the line with her, while the hosts sealed the win in the final period as Bridge crossed for her third.
