On May 18, the group will once again celebrate National Families Week with the Bathurst Family Fun Day.
The event will be held in Bicentennial Park and offer free activities for families.
Chair of the organising committee, Annette Meyers, said the event has always resulted in positive feedback.
"They love it. They want it more than once a year," she said.
"I think they love it for a lot of reasons, because it is free and essentially a whole family get-together."
While the usual free food, activities, games and giveaways will be part of the event, this year's Family Fun Day will also include workshops and live entertainment.
Bathurst Regional Council will run a Waste2Art workshop for children, to be led by Fiona Howle, and sustainable living DIY shampoo, conditioner and laundry workshops.
Ms Meyers said she was happy to have council more involved in the event this year.
"I am very pleased that loads of different organisations and businesses are involved and we truly value the involvement of local community groups," she said.
Another activity sure to be popular is the cardboard box parade, which children can participate in by bringing something they've made from a cardboard box.
