The gym will have one treadmill open from 3pm on Friday, May 31 untill 3pm on Saturday, June 1 for participants willing to take on the challenge.
Staff member Brook Hurditch said the challenge will be open to the entire Bathurst community.
"It will be $15 for 15 minutes on the treadmill and you don't have to be a member of the gym to take part in the event," Ms Hurditch said.
"The proceeds from this year's event will be donated towards R U OK, a key Australian charity reminding people to start important conversations with friends and loved ones."
The treadmill challenge will be run by all Anytime Fitness clubs across Australia and last year, the company raised $418,071 for the event's previous charity of choice: Suicide Prevention Australia.
Ms Hurditch said the gym has enlisted the services of local sporting clubs to bolster the community presence at the event.
"We have representatives from the Bathurst Bushrangers AFL club, CSU soccer club and Bathurst High Campus due to take on the challenge," she said.
"It's fantastic to see that so many local clubs understand the importance of raising funds and awareness for mental health."
This will be the third year that Anytime Fitness Bathurst will be running the event, and all participants are invited to spend as long as they want on the treadmill.
