The Oberon community is mourning the loss of former Oberon Tigers legend Gil Schrader.

Schrader passed away at the age of 77 on Tuesday, June 18, surrounded by his family.
Schrader played rugby league in the legendary Oberon side that won seven consecutive Group 10 premierships from 1961 to 1967 and 10 titles in 11 years.
He was also a keen cricketer, playing at the top level within the Bathurst district.
His brother Jock Schrader passed away in June, 2018, who also played a key role in the Oberon Tigers success in the 1960s and 1970s.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Gil's life at the Oberon RSL Club on Monday, June 24, at 11am.
This will be followed by interment at the Oberon Lawn Cemetery.
People attending are invited share their memories of Gil during the service.
He was the much loved husband of Helen, and cherish father, father-in-law and grand father of many.
