WHILE CSU walked off the field as dominant 60-10 victors on Saturday afternoon, the full-time whistle also marked one very big loss for the Ferguson Cup outfit.

It was because Saturday's bonus-point win over Wellington at University Oval marked the last game in CSU colours for Jess Gann this season.
The scrumhalf turned second rower has consistently been one of the best for CSU so far in 2019, not only steering her side around ably in attack, but muscling up in defence as well.
But Gann is now headed overseas.
CSU coach Dom Huggett knows her influence both on and off the field will be missed.
"She's gone now, that was her last game," Huggett said.
"We will miss her because she has been wonderful for the club on and off the field.

"On the field, she has made the change to second row and done some unreal work. She has also moulded Laura [Belfanti] to fill that scrumhalf role and she's killing it now.
"Off the field she does a lot of social media work, so it's going to be sad to see her go. She'll be a big loss to the club, we'll miss her."
Just as CSU helped make it a fitting debut for Gann with a bonus-point win, she too returned a strong performance to farewell her team-mates.
Not only did she kick five conversions, but she played a hand in a number of the students' tries and provided good on-line defence in the second half when Wellington pressured.
