For the next two Saturdays [July 13 and 21], various businesses along Keppel Street will extend their trading hours into the evening and provide additional entertainment options for the community.

Community, Health and Lifestyle Movement [CHALM] owner Natalie Cox said the initiative will provide alternatives for festival attendees.

"We understand the high volume of people can cause congestion within the festival's central location, so we want to open Keppel Street up to cater for people after a more intimate setting," Ms Cox said.

"This initiative will allow businesses in Keppel Street to band together and diversify the festival experience."

The festivities will see The Hub remain open until 9.30pm on both Saturdays, providing live music and an open fireplace.

In addition, Vine and Tap will provide a unique winter menu, and local establishments Keystone 1889, Elephant and Castle and The Victoria will host their own range of events.

The event will also see lifestyle stores Diversity Fashion and Sar-Jay Serenity trade throughout the evening.

Ms Cox said there has been a generous outpouring of support from Keppel Street businesses in the push to add to the festival's atmosphere.

"It's going to set the stone for other businesses to feel comfortable working together to provide an engaging community environment," she said.

"Keppel Street is full of inventive business professionals, and we want to put their talents on show."

Ms Cox formed CHALM to promote the virtues of maintaining good health and leading a connected lifestyle.

"CHALM is looking forward to helping Bathurst businesses continue to prosper into the future," she said.
