The nomination period for the awards opened on June 17 and since then nominations have been flowing in.
Bathurst Business Chamber marketing and events coordinator Simone Townsend said that a strong number of nominations have been seen already, but there was still time for more people to put businesses and employees forward.
"We are really encouraging businesses to nominate other businesses or employees for an award," she said.
She went on to say that the awards were a time for businesses to reflect on the year that has been and celebrate their successes. Therefore, they were encouraged to not be afraid to put themselves forwards for recognition.
"It is really important and it shows for a team that has been nominated or entered that there is a vision for the future," Ms Townsend said.
Nominations for this year's awards will close next Wednesday, July 17.
People can nominate businesses or employees for the awards via the form on the awards website, which is www.carillonbusinessawards.com.
While anyone can be nominated, it is up to the businesses themselves to accept their nomination and pay the entry fee.
The business chamber forecasts a similar, if not higher, number of nominations this year compared to 2018, when the process changed.
"With the entry process being easier and all in the one place, we think that we will see an increase in nominations," Ms Townsend said.
