Edel McMahon and Tanya Dickerson, who have more than 30 years of clinic experience between them, have decided to partner to create their own practice.
They say Bathurst Family Physiotherapy isn't there to compete with other similar businesses, but rather to bridge gaps and offer more choice to Bathurst residents.
"There are more options for physiotherapy, provision of services and specialty areas in the city, and Edel and I realised there was a gap [in Bathurst] and that's why we're aiming to help," Ms Dickerson said.
There are "very good physiotherapy practices in town", Ms McMahon said, but "there is still a need for more service provision".
While the practice offers assistance with mobility, falls prevention, musculoskeletal physiotherapy, paediatric physiotherapy and pre-surgical physiotherapy, its specialty is neurological physiotherapy.

This is important in the rehabilitation of people who have had a stroke or been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease or Multiple Sclerosis.
Ms McMahon and Ms Dickerson say they are passionate about helping people achieve their goals.
They have both worked in areas outside of Bathurst, but developed their friendship while working at Bathurst Hospital in recent years.
"I'd been working the acute wards for eight years in Bathurst and then Tanya moved down from Sydney and started working in the sub-acute role and then covered my maternity position last year while I was off having my third baby," Ms McMahon said.
"Tanya's got so much experience working across a variety of areas as well that it's a good learning experience for me, working with Tanya, and me being in Bathurst for the last eight years, it gives us both a good knowledge of what is around town, the services and the gaps."
Bathurst Family Physiotherapy is operating out of the Bathurst Specialist Centre building on the Charles Sturt University campus.
Patients can be referred by a doctor or are welcome to get in touch of their own accord to arrange a consultation.
