Before the big event, however, the university has supplied some photos from its regional archives that show some of the faces and events from the Bathurst campus over the years.
The Mitchell College of Advanced Education and the Riverina-Murray Institute of Higher Education merged to establish Charles Sturt University in 1989 with campuses in Albury-Wodonga, Bathurst and Wagga Wagga.
Campuses have since been established in Canberra, Orange, Dubbo and, more recently, Port Macquarie.
