As part of the celebrations held during Education Week 2019, everyone at Bathurst South we felt it was important to show their appreciation to two organisations who play a pivotal role in supporting the Aboriginal Educational programs offered within the school.
Both Goodstart Early Learning Centre - Gorman's Hill and the Bathurst Local Aboriginal Land Council support the school's involvement in the joint Bush Kindy program which commenced in Term 2, 2019.
This program involves all students within Bathurst South Public school who are attending Wahluu Mount Panorama during semester 2.
Students will participate in a range of cultural activities as well as exploring the environment around them in a range of authentic activities that aim at reconnecting children with nature and the outdoors.
This partnership is something that will be continuing in future years.
Bathurst South school captains, Jacobi and Karli were provided with the opportunity during Education Week to be interviewed on 2BS about their great school. This gave them the chance to inform everyone about Education Week at their school and what they were doing to help celebrate it.
Bathurst South Public school has educated successive generations of families in the region and aim to foster positive, respectful and informed learners for the 21st century.
