Cr Bourke applied for an AVO against Mr Griffiths after an alleged altercation in a Bathurst newsagency on August 8.
The pair appeared at Bathurst Local Court on Monday, but the matter was adjourned to August 26.
IN OTHER NEWS AROUND BATHURST:
While the interim order is in place, Mr Griffiths is not allowed to stalk, harass, intimidate or damage the property of Cr Bourke.
He is also not to approach or contact Cr Bourke unless through a lawyer.
