AN Orange woman caught with a mobile phone SIM card in her bra as she tried to enter Bathurst Correctional Centre has pleaded guilty to unlawfully taking anything into a place of detention.
Kerrianne Drain, 39, of Woodward Street, in Orange, appeared before Bathurst Local Court where she was represented by Ms Scott.
Police facts tendered to the court told how at about noon on July 7, Drain arrived at Bathurst Correctional Centre intending to visit an ex-partner.
The court heard a friend dropped her off at the jail and the accused approached the front entrance where staff searched her bag.

She was asked if she had anything else that was considered contraband and she handed staff a SIM card that had been hidden in her bra.
Staff led Drain to a separate area of the jail and called police. Officers attended and conducted a further search but nothing else was located.
Once her identity was confirmed by police, the accused participated in an electronically recorded interview.
She told officers she had slept at a friend's place the night before and was disorganised prior to attending the jail.
The court heard she made admissions to having the SIM card in her possession but said she forgot she had it on her and handed it to staff as soon as she remembered it being in her bra.
The accused denied having any intention of giving the SIM card to an inmate.
Drain was convicted and fined $300.
