To mark Dementia Action Week from September 16-22 there are a number of special activities which have been organised.
These include:
- September 18: An EDIE Information Session for Carers.
- September 25: A morning Information Session for Carers (in conjunction with Dementia Australia and Bathurst Regional Carers Group).
- September 25: Dementia Friends information for local businesses at 6pm.
- September 26: A morning Dementia Friends session for local community members.
Café society
WE are delighted to announce the commencement of our café for people with cognitive decline and their carers which will open in October.
This has been brewing' for a while, and details will be announced in soon.
Memory van
WE are working with Dementia Australia to bring the Memory Van to Bathurst in November which is another great opportunity to access information and support.
In addition, we have organised educations sessions for seniors and carers, which we plan to hold on a regular basis.
Information is power and all seniors and carers are welcome to attend.
