The Stephanie Burley-trained mare has been right in the thick of things across her past two starts, finding a pair of runner-up finishes, but will look to go one better in what looks to be an open race.

Our Emancipation gave Burley her first win from the driver's seat three years ago and has gone on to record a roller coaster of a career since then, mixing disappointing results with bursts of promise.

Her latest preparation has consisted of 17 races and it will end with number 18 this Wednesday, with Burley and family ready to head away on holidays.

Burley's been pleased with the progress her mare has made across a long preparation.

"She's probably been going better than she has for a long time and this new system has helped her out a lot," she said.

"She's happy enough. I just work her by herself and does what she needs to do. She'll be off for a spell after Wednesday."

The Real Desire x Miss Carlyle mare has picked up nine wins from her 72 starts and was unfortunate not to add to the victory tally in recent runs at Bathurst.

She came second to Arcachon before finishing an even closer runner-up to Mah Koo Loo Queen in the following week's racing.

"I was a bit upset to see her just getting beaten last week but coming second's not so bad," Burley said.

"I thought she was going to do a little bit of a better job. She's sill going good but she has her moments.

"When she ran that first second to Arcachon the slow tempo really didn't suit her."

Consistent, high pace will be what Burley and Our Emancipation will be searching for when they go out from the second row in this Wednesday's race.

Unfortunately the back row start won't allow Our Emancipation to dictate terms but she does follow out strong hope Sweet Luck from box two.

Wednesday's meeting sees a variety of racing taking place, including a Key and Kay Seymour Evolution Series Heat and a Eugowra Pathway Series race.

The nine-race meeting starts from 5.39pm.
