The traditional naming convention for trains is to use a noun. As such, a short blue and yellow train is an eel (i.e. the Parramatta to nowhere express).
The second problem is that 2.0 seeks to misuse the naming convention for software.
Software has major releases, minor releases, and bugs.

Using 2.0 would suggest a major release. The new service is at best a minor release along the same lines as the old; as such, 1.1.
But I would argue that since it is the same noisy, loud, bumpy, slow train used last time, a tinkering of the timetable would rate it at the very best a version 1.0.1.
